For granting a temporary residence permit in order to perform work in a profession requiring high qualifications, the so-called The "Blue Card" may be submitted by a foreigner who intends to perform or continue working in Poland in such a profession.

 

This permit is granted for a period longer by 3 months than the period of performing work, but not longer than 3 years. Such a permit entitles you to stay in Poland and work on the terms set out therein for the period of its validity.

 

Applying for the Blue Card requires a foreigner to complete university studies or have at least 5 years of professional experience at a level comparable to the level of qualifications obtained as a result of completing university studies, which are necessary to perform this job.

One of the main conditions for obtaining the so-called The amount of the required minimum annual gross salary may not be lower than the equivalent of 150% of the amount of the average salary in the national economy in the year preceding the submission of the application for a temporary residence permit in order to perform work in a profession requiring high qualifications announced by the President of the Chief Executive Officer of the Statistical Office pursuant to art. 20 point 1 lit. a of the Act of 17 December 1998 on old-age and disability pensions from the Social Insurance Fund.
